Crash Diets – Step 1- Just How Big Are You?

Crash Diets – Step 2- You Are What You Eat
The reason most people fail at dieting is that they don’t really understand their eating habits. Step 2 is all about taking a moment to look at what you are eating. For the next week I don’t want you to worry about losing weight or crash diets. I just want you to do your best a keeping a log of everything you eat or drink. I know it sounds like a lot of effort but believe me in the long term it can be the difference between success and failure. You see once you know what you are really eating and drinking you can slowly start to replace the bad items with good. Emphasis is on slowly. For me I noticed that between coffee and soda I was talking in around 50 teaspoons of refined sugar a day. That’s around 800 calories or one third of my recommended daily calorie intake. So take the time, it can be a real eye opener.

Two are printable versions and two excel sheets, just pick one you like, but please complete them, it’s important.
Crash Diets – Step 3 – Set Your Goals
If you want to lose 40 pounds there is absolutely no point in expecting to do it in two weeks. You will just get disillusioned and give up. Set yourself some realistic weight goals. The recommended weight loss rate for healthy weight loss is no more than 2 pounds per week, so set your targets accordingly. There is no harm in trying to kick start it with a fast weight loss routine for the first week, but only the first week. Use your first week of food logging to have a real think about what you want to achieve and what you realistically think is feasible.

Crash Diets – Step 4 – Exercise
If this was a four letter word I would know what to call it. I have never been one for working out at the gym, was intimidated by my size, never seemed to have the time and was basically just too dam lazy. However any weight loss or crash diet program will not work over the long term without some element of physical activity. I found the easiest way was to do it was at home with nothing more than the floor and a mat (oh and some good music). I have below a link to some home work-out videos for you to use. You should try and get one routine done at least once a day. Don’t go mental just get your heart rate up a bit and work up a sweat. It’s amazing how even after just a week you can notice a real change in your energy levels and general out-look just by doing some light exercise.

Crash Diets – Step 5- Get A Professional Help
No I don’t mean that you have to invest thousands of dollars into a personal trainer who will help you to lose your weight. There are other cheap alternatives which almost guarantee you to lose tons of pounds in shortest period of time.
Here I want to recommend you a Fat Loss Diet Program which has helped hundreds of thousands of people and me to lose weight fast. It is created by a well known nutrition and fitness expert and author. He has also been recognized by Men’s Fitness magazine as one of America’s Top 50 Personal Trainers.
I recommend checking out the following before and after pictures of people who used this plan and to read some testimonials:
Crash Diets – Step 6- Let’s Get Started.
You should have your food log by now completed for last week. First take a good look at it and decide what you can replace. As I said it may be something as simple as using a sugar substitute in coffee, drinking diet soda or even talking a packed lunch instead of having take away food. There are also probably many items you could easily replace with healthier ones. Use your food diary to plan out what you can change without having some sort of food crisis. Do this for the next 4 weeks and stick to it.
Look at your week and make the commitment to do your exercise program at home at least 3 times a week. Again plan this for the next 4 weeks.
So you now know what foods to replace and how to do it, so go shop for them and get 4 weeks supply. Also start thinking about your meals. Most people don’t really plan, they just come home all tired and think “what to eat, oh I just microwave this or fry this because it’s quick and easy. If you actually spend a bit of time planning your meals out and getting the items you need beforehand it is actually quite easy to throw something together in a few minutes which is both tasty and healthy. Again Just Plan For It.
Here are two really good resources to help with this.
It has been proven that it takes around 21 days for the average person to either make or break a habit. You do this just for 4 weeks, really commit to it and I guarantee that by the end you will have:
- Lost weight
- Feal so much better
- Consider it to be normal and no hassle.
Also you may notice that no where here have I asked you to diet. Plan to eat healthy and get some exercise and the weight will come off naturally, and best of all, will stay off.
Crash Diets – Motivation
By far my biggest problem was staying motivated and on track. It was all go for a week or two followed by some crisis or other which would take me back to my old ways. This went on for what seemed like forever. Then someone told me to make a mind movie. What? I asked, basically my own little motivational movie. What a load of rubbish was my first thoughts but I gave it a try. You know what it worked. The first one was a bit sketchy, but after a week or so I made another one which really got me going. Now whenever I have something I really want to achieve I just make a little movie about it (usually no more than 30 seconds) and stick it on my phone. Then I make a point of watching it every day, and it really does keep you on track, all that sub-conscious and visual stimuli stuff. As a bonus for anyone who signs up for the free e-book on the left I will send you instructions of how to do this. It’s free and really only takes minutes to do.
So good luck and I wish you every success.
